Audience

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is specifically designed for healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other emergency medical personnel, who manage cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest. This course provides essential training for those working in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle life-threatening situations with confidence.

Pre-Requisites

  • Renewal students must have a current ACLS card.
  • Participants must be able to recognize basic dysrhythmias.
  • Participants must take the Pre-Course Self Assessment prior to the start of class.

ACLS Course Content

  • Basic life support skills
  • Recognition and management of cardiac arrest
  • Airway management and pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication in resuscitation teams
  • Recognition and early management of bradycardia and tachycardia
  • Post-cardiac arrest care

Pre-Course Assessment Required!

Participants must take the Pre-Course Self Assessment. The certificate is required to gain entry into the course.

Instructor-led, classroom-based training featuring hands-on practice and video-based learning.

  • Course Length: Renewal Course: 5-6 hours | Full Course: 15 hours

  • Minimum Class Size: No minimum requirement. We will hold the class even if only one student enrolls.
  • Enrollment Cut-off: Enrollment closes when the class is full. Late enrollments may receive course materials on the day of class.
  • Classroom-based with instructor and video guidance.

Certification

Upon completing this course, students receive an American Heart Association ACLS e-Card via email. e-Cards are valid for two years. e-Cards are issued 1-2 business days after course completion.
